Diabetes Action

Become a Diabetes Advocate

Diabetes health services in Ireland are under-resourced.  Diabetes Action's campaigns seek to influence public health policy and to improve diabetes health services through advocacy, engagement and lobbying.

About Diabetes Action

Diabetes Action, established in 2010, is an advocacy initiative of three organisations:

Diabetes Federation of Ireland                            ●Irish Diabetes Nurse Specialist Association      ●Diabetes Section of the Irish Endocrine Society

Half the Services, Half the Care

People with diabetes in Ireland are offered only half the health-care services they need to help manage their condition effectively.

Diabetes Action is engaged in advocacy work to secure strategically resourced and targeted health services for people with diabetes by engaging with policy makers, public representatives and health-care professionals. We aim to influence public policy for the benefit of Ireland's diabetes community.
